About Living NOOR
A personal journey into the light of the Quran
Why this exists
Living NOOR is a personal passion project. It started this Ramadan with a simple desire: to go deeper into the Quran than I had in previous years.
I had recently started reading the Quran properly, and every time I opened it, I found something new — a connection I hadn't seen, a theme that tied distant surahs together, a hadith that illuminated an ayah in ways I never expected. The more I read, the more I realized how much I didn't know.
I wanted a way to explore these connections — to see how ayahs relate to hadiths, how topics weave through the entire Quran, how Allah's names appear across different surahs. I couldn't find a single place that brought all of this together, so I started building one.
What this is
Living NOOR brings together the Quran, 50,000+ hadiths from 17 collections, scholarly tafsir, the 99 Names of Allah, stories of the prophets, and over 1,300 topics — all cross-referenced and interconnected.
It is not a fatwa site. It is not a replacement for learning from scholars. It is a tool for exploration — for someone like me who wants to understand the beauty of this deen and see how everything connects.
What this is not
I am not a scholar. I am not a hafiz. I am a student — and a very early one at that. This project is built with the best intentions and the best data I could find, but mistakes are inevitable when you are learning.
If you find an error — in a translation, a hadith reference, a tafsir attribution, or anything else — please let me know. I take accuracy seriously, especially when it comes to the words of Allah and the teachings of His Messenger (peace be upon him).
Our deen is beautiful
The more I learn, the more I am in awe. The Quran is not just a book you read — it reads you. It meets you where you are. It has layers that reveal themselves only when you are ready.
I built Living NOOR because I believe the beauty of Islam deserves to be explored with the same depth and care that scholars have given it for centuries — but in a way that is accessible to someone just beginning their journey.
Built on Three Principles
A Leap of Faith
This started as a personal experiment — one person's attempt to build something worthy of the Quran. Not a scholar, just a student who couldn't stop exploring and wanted to share the journey.
Beautiful
This deen is beautiful — and it deserves to be presented that way. Every page, every interaction, every detail is designed to reflect the beauty of what it holds.
Easy & Deep
Easy to explore, deep enough to reward your curiosity. Every ayah is a doorway — tafsir, hadiths, topics, videos — everything is connected so you can go as far as your heart takes you.
Built with love, humility, and lots of du'a.
Everything I built stands on the shoulders of others — see who laid the foundation →
Stay on the Path
Every Friday: one ayah, its hidden connections, and a reflection you won't find anywhere else.
