Business Transactions
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَقَالَ: رُوِيَ مُرْسَلاً. وَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ, وَاخْتُلِفَ فِي صَحَابِيِّهِ, فَقِيلَ: جَابِرٌ, وَقِيلَ: عَائِشَةُ, وَقِيلَ: عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو, وَالرَّاجِحُ اَلْأَوَّلُ 1 .1 - حديث صحيح، وانظر ما تقدم رقم ( 897 و 898 ).
And he (at-Tirmidhi) said that it was reported in a Mursal (missing link after the Tabi'i) form, which is the case. However, there is disagreement regarding the Companion who heard it from the Prophet (ﷺ), and it has been said that it was Jabir, 'Aishah or 'Abdullah bin 'Umar, and the strongest opinion is that it was the first one (i.e. Jabir).
