Marriage
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ : عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ , وَالنَّسَائِيِّ , وَابْنِ حِبَّانَ أَيْضًا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ 1 .1 - رواه أبو داود ( 2050 ) ، والنسائي ( 6 / 65 - 66 ) ، وابن حبان ( 1229 ) ولفظه : عن معقل بن يسار قال : جاء رجل إلى النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فقال : إني أصبت امرأة ذات حسب وجمال ، وإنها لا تلد ، أفأتزوجها ؟ قال : " لا " . ثم أتاه الثانية . فنهاه . ثم أتاه الثالثة فقال : " تزوجوا الودود الولود ، فإني مكاثر بكم " . والسياق والزيادة لأبي داود.
The aforesaid Hadith has a supporting narration reported by Abu Dawud. an-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban from Ma'qal bin Yasar's Hadith.
