Marriage

وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا نَذْرَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ , وَلَا عِتْقِ لَهُ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ , وَلَا طَلَاقَ
لَهُ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَصَحَّحَهُ, وَنُقِلَ عَنْ اَلْبُخَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَصَحُّ مَا وَرَدَ فِيهِ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أبو داود (2190 و 2191 و 2192)، والترمذي (1181)، وقال الأخير. " وفي الباب عن علي، ومعاذ بن جبل، وجابر، وابن عباس، وعائشة. قال أبو عيسى: حديث عبد الله بن عمرو حديث حسن صحيح. وهو أحسن شيء روي في هذا الباب ". قلت: وقول البخاري نقله البيهقي في "الخلافيات"، وانظر "التلخيص" (310). وفي "الأصل" بيان لكل هذه الشواهد وطرقها.
Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib on his father's authority from his grandfather: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "No descendant of Adam may make a vow concerning something he does not possess, or set free (a slave) that he does not possess, or divorce (a woman) whom he does not possess (in marriage)."
