Marriage

وَعَنِ أَنَسٍ, أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { أَبْصِرُوهَا, فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَبْيَضَ سَبِطًا فَهُوَ لِزَوْجِهَا, وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا, فَهُوَ اَلَّذِي رَمَاهَا بِهِ }
مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 11 - صحيح. وإن كان الحافظ - رحمه الله- وهم في عزوه، وتصرف في لفظه! فالحديث لم يروه البخاري. وإنما رواه مسلم (1496). ولفظه: من طريق محمد بن سيرين قال: سألت أنس بن مالك، وأنا أرى أن عنده منه علما. فقال: إن هلال بن أمية قذف امرأته بشريك بن سحماء، وكان أخا البراء بن مالك لأمه. وكان أول رجل لاعن في الإسلام. قال: فلاعنها. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "أبصروها. فإن جاءت به أبيض سبطا قضيء العينين، فهو لهلال بن أمية. وإن جاءت به أكحل جعدا حمش الساقين، فهو لشريك بن سحماء". قال: فأنبئت أنها جاءت به أكحل، جعدا، حمش الساقين.
Narrated Anas (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Observe her, and if she gives birth to a child which is white complexioned with dark hair, her husband would be its father. But if she gives birth to a child with eyes looking as if they have antimony (Kuhl) in them and curled hair, the man whom her husband charged her with committing adultery is its father."
