Jihad
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{
"لَا سَبْقَ إِلَّا فِي خُفٍّ, أَوْ نَصْلٍ, أَوْ حَافِرٍ" } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالثَّلَاثَةَ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّان َ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أحمد ( 2 / 474 )، وأبو داود ( 2574 )، والنسائي ( 6 / 226 )، والترمذي ( 1700 )، وابن حبان ( 4671 ). وقال الترمذي: "حديث حسن".
Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said ,”Prize money is allowed only for racing camels, shooting arrows or racing horses.” Related by Ahmad and the three lmams. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.
