وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ, وَلَا تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ فَوْقَكُمْ, فَهُوَ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لَا تَزْدَرُوا نِعْمَةَ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .1 - صحيح. وهذا اللفظ رواية لمسلم (2963) (9)، وأما اللفظ المتفق عليه، فهو قوله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-:" إذا نظر أحدكم إلى من فضل عليه في المال والخلق، فلينظر إلى من هو أسفل منه ممن فضل عليه". رواه البخاري (6490)، ومسلم (2963) (8) ولشرح الحديث انظر كتابي" ذم الدنيا" ص (17- 18).
Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Look at those who are lower than you (financially) but do not look at those who are higher than you, lest you belittle the favors Allah conferred upon you.” Agreed upon.
