The Book of Purification

وَعَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اَللَّيْثِيِّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَا قُطِعَ مِنْ اَلْبَهِيمَةِ -وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ- فَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَحَسَّنَهُ, وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ 1 .1 - حسن. رواه أبو داود (2858)، الترمذي (1480)، من طريق عطاء بن يسار، عن أبي واقد الليثي قال: قدم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المدينة، والناس يجبون أسنمة الإبل، ويقطعون أليات الغنم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: فذكر الحديث.
Narrated Abu Waqid Al-Laithi: Narrated Abu Waqid Al-Laithi (rad):
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Whatever (portion) is cut off from an animal when it is alive is dead (meat). .
