The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَلِمُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ نَحْوَهُ, وَقَالَ: "سَجْدَةً" بَدَلَ "رَكْعَةً". ثُمَّ قَالَ: وَالسَّجْدَةُ إِنَّمَا هِيَ اَلرَّكْعَةُ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه مسلم (609) ولفظه: "من أدرك من العصر سجدة قبل أن تغرب الشمس، أو من الصبح قبل أن تطلع فقد أدركها" والسجدة إنما هي الركعة.
Muslim reported the same above Hadith in another version narrated by 'Aishah (RA), who narrated 'Sajdah (prostration)' instead of 'Rak'a (prayer unit)' and then he (Muslim) said: "A Sajdah implies a Rak'a."
