The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَلِأَبِي دَاوُدَ , وَالنَّسَائِيِّ : عَنْ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- نَحْوُهُ , دُونَ آخِرِهِ . وَقَيَّدَ اَلْمَرْأَةَ بِالْحَائِضِ 1 .1 - صحيح مرفوعا . رواه أبو داود (703) ولفظه : "يقطع الصلاة :المرأة الحائض . والكلب". وأما النسائي فرواه موقوفا ومرفوعا عن ابن عباس (2/64) .
In another narration Abu Dawud and an-Nasa'i reported through Ibn Abbas (RA) a similar report without its end and connected the prohibition of a woman passing in front of a praying person to the state of being in her menstruation period.
