Bulugh al-Maram #327
The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : { سُبْحَانَكَ اَللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ , تَبَارَكَ اِسْمُكَ , وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ , وَلَا إِلَهُ غَيْرُكَ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ بِسَنَدٍ مُنْقَطِعٍ , وَاَلدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ مَوْصُولاً وَهُوَ مَوْقُوفٌ 11 - صحيح . عن عمر من قوله . رواه مسلم (1/299/52) من طريق عبدة بن أبي لبابة أن عمر بن الخطاب كان يجهر بهؤلاء الكلمات يقول : فذكره . وعبدة لم يسمع من عمر ، ولذلك قال الحافظ : "بسند منقطع" وبهذا أعله غير واحد ، واعتذر النووي ، عن مسلم بأنه أورده عرضا لا قصدا ! ولكنه صح موصولا كما عند الدارقطني في "السنن " (1/299و 300) .
Narrated 'Umar (RA): He (ﷺ) used to say, "How perfect You are O Allah, and Praise is for You, Blessed is Your Name and Exalted is Your Majesty and there is nothing which deserves to be worshipped besides You."
[Reported by Muslim with a Munqati' (broken)
chain. And in the version of ad-Daraqutni, it is Mawsul (unbroken chain), and it is Mawquf (saying of a companion ('Umar)].
