The Book of Prayer

وَلَهُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ: { أَقَامَ بِتَبُوكَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا يَقْصُرُ اَلصَّلَاةَ } وَرُوَاتُهُ ثِقَاتٌ, إِلَّا أَنَّهُ اُخْتُلِفَ فِي وَصْلِه ِ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أبو داود (1235) من طريق معمر، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير، عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن ثوبان، عن جابر، به. قال أبو داود: "غير معمر لا يسنده". قلت: وأجاب عن ذلك النووي، فقال في "الخلاصة": "هو حديث صحيح الإسناد على شرط البخاري ومسلم، لا يقدح فيه تفرد معمر، فإنه ثقة حافظ، فزيادته مقبولة". وأعله أيضا الدارقطني، ولكن أجيب عن ذلك.
His narration from Jabir (RA) has: Allah's Messenger (RA) stayed at Tabuk for twenty days, and he shortened the prayers (during his stay).
