The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَجَابِرِ عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ, وَالنَّسَائِيّ ِ : 1 { أَنَّهَا مَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ اَلْعَصْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ اَلشَّمْسِ } ِ.1 - حديث جابر. رواه أبو داود (1048)، والنسائي (3/99-100) عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه قال: يوم الجمعة اثنتا عشرة ساعة، لا يوجد فيها عبد مسلم يسأل الله شيئا إلا آتاه إياه، فالتمسوها آخر ساعة بعد العصر". وهو حديث صحيح، واللفظ للنسائي. "تنبيه": قول الحافظ: أنها ما بين صلاة العصر وغروب الشمس. هو تعبير منه بالمعنى، وإلا فليس هذا اللفظ في شيء من روايات الحديث.
