The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ: { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -صَلَّى صَلَاةَ اَلْخَوْفِ بِهَؤُلَاءِ رَكْعَةً, وَبِهَؤُلَاءِ رَكْعَةً, وَلَمْ يَقْضُوا } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أحمد (5/385 و 399)، وأبو داود (1246)، والنسائي (3/167-168)، ولا أظن أن عزوه لابن حبان إلا من باب الوهم والخطأ. والله أعلم.
Narrated Hudhaifah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) performed Salatal-Khauf leading these (Companions) in one Rak'ah and those (other Companions) in one Rak'ah, and they did not make up the second Rak'ah.
