The Book of Prayer

وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الْقَسِيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه مسلم (2078)، وتمامه: "وعن تختم الذهب. وعن قراءة القرآن في الركوع". القسي: هي ثياب مضلعة بالحرير تجلب من مصر تعمل بالقس وهي قرية على ساحل البحر قريبة من تنيس. المعصفر: المصبوغ بالعصفر، وهو صبغ أصفر اللون.
Narrated 'Ali (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade wearing of silk and clothes dyed with safflower (a red dye).
