"The Messenger of Allah(S.A.W) would seek refuge from the jinn and the (evil) eye of humans, until Al-Mu'awwidhatain were revealed. So when they were revealed he used them and left other than them."
Narrated by Abu Sa'eed narrated:

Context

Abu Sa'eed narrates that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sought refuge from the jinn and the evil eye until the revelation of Al-Mu'awwidhatain (the last two chapters of the Quran). After their revelation, he relied on them for protection. This illustrates the importance of seeking refuge in Allah from harmful forces and the power of divine words.

Modern Application

Today, many Muslims recite Al-Mu'awwidhatain for protection against negative influences and harm. This practice fosters a sense of spiritual security and reliance on Allah's guidance.
