حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَتْ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ زِيَادٍ فَجِيءَ بِرَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ بِقَضِيبٍ لَهُ فِي أَنْفِهِ وَيَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ هَذَا حُسْنًا لَمْ يُذْكَرْ ‏.‏ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَمَا إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنْ أَشْبَهِهِمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏

"I was with Ibn Ziyad and the head of Al-Husain was brought. He said: "I said: 'Behold, he was of the closest of them in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).'"
