Mishkat al-Masabih #1255
Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا حَزَبَهُ أَمْرٌ صَلَّى. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Hudhaifa said that when anything distressed the Prophet he prayed.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
