Mishkat al-Masabih #1380
Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْبَقَرَةُ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ وَالْجَزُورُ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ
Jabir reported the Prophet as saying, "A cow serves for seven, and a camel serves for seven.”
Muslim and Abu Dawud transmitted it, the wording being the latter’s.
