Mishkat al-Masabih #1716
Zakat
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَيْسَ فِي حَبٍّ وَلَا تَمْرٍ صَدَقَةٌ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ خَمْسَةَ أَوْسُقٍ» . رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيّ
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported the Prophet as saying,
“There is no sadaqa payable on grain or dates till they reach five camel-loads.”
Nasa’i transmitted it.
