Zakat
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي زَكَاةِ الْكُرُومِ: «إِنَّهَا تُخْرَصُ كَمَا تُخْرَصُ النَّخْلُ ثُمَّ تُؤَدَّى زَكَاتُهُ زَبِيبًا كَمَا تُؤَدَّى زَكَاةُ النَّخْلِ تَمْرًا» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد
‘Attab b. Usaid reported the Prophet as saying regarding the zakat on vines,
“They are to be estimated as palm-trees are, then the zakat is to be paid in raisins as the zakat on palm-trees is paid in dried dates.”
Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
