Fasting
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: نَهَى عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ بِعَرَفَةَ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Abu Huraira said that God’s messenger prohibited fasting on the day of ‘Arafa at ‘Arafa.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
