Supplications
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَافَ قَوْمًا قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ من شرورهم» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَأَبُو دَاوُد
Abu Musa told that when the Prophet feared a people he said, "O God, we put Thee in front of them, and we seek refuge in Thee from their evils."
Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
