Game and Animals Which May Be Slaughtered

وَعَن أبي قتادةَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى حِمَارًا وَحْشِيًّا فَعَقَرَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَلْ مَعَكُمْ مِنْ لَحْمِهِ شَيْءٌ؟» قَالَ: مَعَنَا رِجْلُهُ فَأَخَذَهَا فَأَكَلَهَا
Abu Qatada told that he saw a wild ass and killed it. The Prophet asked whether they had any of its flesh and when he replied that they had a leg he took it and ate it.
