Mishkat al-Masabih #791
Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
Ibn ‘Abbas said that God’s Messenger used to begin his prayer with, “In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it and said that the isnad of this tradition is not approved.
