Ammar bin Abi ‘Ammar told us that 'Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a ring of gold on a man's hand and he said: “Throw it away,” so he threw it away and acquired a ring of iron. He said: `This is even worse.` Then he acquired a ring of silver, and he did not say anything,
