Musnad 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib
Abu Matar al-Basri - who met `Ali (رضي الله عنه) - narrated that ‘Ali bought a garment for three dirhams and when he put it on he said: Praise be to Allah Who has provided me with a garment with which to beautify myself before the people and cover my `awrah. Then he said: This is what I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say.
