Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ خُمَيْرٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ السِّمْطِ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى أَرْضًا يُقَالُ لَهَا دَوْمِينُ مِنْ حِمْصَ عَلَى رَأْسِ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ مِيلًا فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَتُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا أَفْعَلُ كَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ قَالَ فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
It was narrated from Ibn as-Simt that he came to some land called Doomeen, eighteen miles from Homs, and prayed two rak'ahs. I said to him. Are you praying two rak'ahs? He said: I saw 'Umar bin al-Khattab in Dhul-Hulaifah praying two rak'ahs and I asked him (about that). He said: I am only doing what I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do.
Narrated by It was narrated from Ibn as-Simt that he came to some land called Doomeen, eighteen miles from Homs, and prayed two rak'ahs. I said to him. Are you praying two rak'ahs? He said:
