Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حَبِيبَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ السِّمْطِ، أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ عُمَرَ إِلَى ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا أَصْنَعُ كَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
ft was narrated from Ibn as-Simt that he went out with ‘Umar to Dhul-Hulaifah and he prayed two rak'ahs. I asked hirm about that and he said: I am only doing what I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) do.
