Musnad Ahmad #309

Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)
Dujain Abul-Ghusn, who was from Basrah, said: I came to Madinah and met Aslam, the freed slave of `Umar bin al-Khattab. I said. Tell me(a report)from `Umar. He said: I cannot, I am afraid that I will add or subtract something. If we said to ‘Umar, Tell us something from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), he would say: I am afraid that I may add or subtract a letter. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever tells a lie about me will be in Hell.`
