Muwatta Malik #1735
Madina
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
Yahya related to me from Malik from a man who said, "Zayd ibn
Thabit came across me while I was at al-Aswaf (on the outskirts of
Madina). I had captured a hawk. He took it from my hands and set it
free."
