Muwatta Malik #1971
Sadaqa
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
Malik related to me from Zayd ibn Aslam from Amr ibn Muadh al-
Ashali al-Ansari that his grandmother said, "The Messenger of Allah,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'O trusting women! Let
none of you despise giving to her neighbour even if it is only a
roasted sheep's trotter.'
