Muwatta Malik #408
Shortening the Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" اجْعَلُوا مِنْ صَلاَتِكُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ " .
Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his
father that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, said, "Do some of the prayers in your houses."
