Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)
My father's mutilated body was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) and was placed in front of him. I went to
uncover his face but my companions forbade me. Then mourning cries of a lady were heard, and it
was said that she was either the daughter or the sister of `Amr. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why is she crying?"
Or said, "Do not cry, for the angels are still shading him with their wings." (Al-Bukhari asked Sadqa,
a sub-narrator, "Does the narration include the expression: 'Till he was lifted?' " The latter replied,
"Jabir may have said it.")

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
The Prophet frowned and turned away
سُورَةُ المَائـِدَةِ
Al-Maaida (The Table)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1 ayah
فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابًۭا يَبْحَثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيْفَ يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ ۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَٰذَا ٱلْغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِىَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِى ۖ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ
Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother. He said, "O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?" And he became of the regretful.
سُورَةُ يُوسُفَ
Yusuf (Joseph)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
2 ayahs
ٱذْهَبُوا۟ بِقَمِيصِى هَٰذَا فَأَلْقُوهُ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِ أَبِى يَأْتِ بَصِيرًۭا وَأْتُونِى بِأَهْلِكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Take this, my shirt, and cast it over the face of my father; he will become seeing. And bring me your family, all together."
وَجَآءُوٓ أَبَاهُمْ عِشَآءًۭ يَبْكُونَ
And they came to their father at night, weeping.
سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ
Al-Waaqia (The Inevitable)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1 ayah
فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah,
