Context
Ka'b bin Malik shared his experience of repentance after being among those who lagged behind during a military campaign. He expressed a desire to give away all his wealth as a sign of his remorse. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) advised him to keep some of his wealth, indicating that moderation is key in acts of repentance and charity.
