Friday Prayer

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كَانَ جِذْعٌ يَقُومُ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمَّا وُضِعَ لَهُ الْمِنْبَرُ سَمِعْنَا لِلْجِذْعِ مِثْلَ أَصْوَاتِ الْعِشَارِ حَتَّى نَزَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ‏.‏ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا‏.‏
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to stand by a stem of a date-palm tree (while delivering a sermon). When the pulpit was placed for him we heard that stem crying like a pregnant she-camel till the Prophet (ﷺ) got down from the pulpit and placed his hand over it.
Narrated by Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:

Context

In this narration, Jabir bin Abdullah describes an incident where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ delivered sermons while standing next to a date-palm tree. When a pulpit was constructed for him, the tree was heard crying out in sorrow until the Prophet ﷺ comforted it by placing his hand on it. This event illustrates the deep connection between the Prophet ﷺ and his community, as well as the natural world.
