Context
Anas b. Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was known for his exemplary character. On occasions when the time for prayer arrived while he was at Anas's house, he would instruct that the mat beneath him be cleaned and sprinkled with water before leading the prayer. This act demonstrated his attention to cleanliness and respect for the prayer environment.
