Sahih Muslim #1560

The Book of Prayer - Travellers
Sahih

The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.

A hadith like this has been narrated by Qatada with the same chain of transmitters.

Context

This hadith emphasizes the importance of the chain of transmission in the narration of hadiths. It highlights that a hadith similar to the one being discussed has been reported by Qatada through the same chain of narrators, which reinforces the credibility of the message. The integrity of the chain is crucial for establishing the authenticity of Islamic teachings.

Modern Application

In today's context, the emphasis on reliable sources is paramount. Just as in academic research, where citations and references are critical, Muslims are encouraged to seek knowledge from trustworthy scholars and authentic sources to ensure the teachings they follow are accurate and reliable.

Topics

This hadith is tagged with Hadith Transmission and Authenticity in Hadith because it underscores the significance of the chain of narrators in validating the authenticity of the hadith.
