حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ، بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِنَّ أُحُدًا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
Uhud is a mountain which loves us and which we love.
Narrated by Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying:

Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.

And when Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us; and We saved them from a harsh punishment.

If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

And to the 'Aad [We sent] their brother Hud. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Then will you not fear Him?"
