The Book of the Merits of the Companions

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، وَحَامِدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْبَكْرَاوِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ لَمْ يَبْقَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَعْضِ تِلْكَ الأَيَّامِ الَّتِي قَاتَلَ فِيهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَيْرُ طَلْحَةَ وَسَعْدٍ ‏.‏ عَنْ حَدِيثِهِمَا ‏.‏
Abu 'Uthman reported on one of the days when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was fighting and none remained with him save Talha and Sa'd.

Context

During a time of battle, only two companions, Talha and Sa'd, remained with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). This highlights the loyalty and bravery of these companions in the face of adversity.
