The Sword Of Rasoolullah

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صُدْرَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا طَالِبُ بْنُ حُجَيْرٍ، عَنْ هُودٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى سَيْفِهِ ذَهَبٌ، وَفِضَّةٌ، قَالَ طَالِبٌ: فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْفِضَّةِ، فَقَالَ: كَانَتْ قَبِيعَةُ السَّيْفِ فِضَّةً.
Hud (i.e. Ibn 'Abdi’llah ibn Sa'd) reports that his grandfather said: "Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) entered Mecca on the Day of Victory with gold and silver on his sword. An inquirer said: 'I asked him about the silver', and he said: ‘The pommel of the sword was silver'.”
Narrated by Hud (i.e. Ibn 'Abdi’llah ibn Sa'd) reports that his grandfather said:
