Shama'il Muhammadiyah #177

What Rasoolullah Would Eat with Bread
'A’isha, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be well pleased with her), said: "The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to come to me and say: “Do you have something for lunch?” I would say: “No,” so he would say: “I am fasting.” When he came to me one day, I said: “O Messenger of Allah, we have been given a gift!” He said: “What is it?” I said: “It is a meal of dates mixed with butter and curds.” He said: “As for me, I began the day fasting.” But then he ate.”
