The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.

“Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing fire.” He said: Except the one whom Allah destined that he should go to Hell.
Narrated by Khalid al-Hadhdha asked al-Hasan about the Quranic verse:

Context

In this hadith, a question is posed regarding a Quranic verse about temptation and Hellfire. The response indicates that only those whom Allah has destined for Hell will be led into temptation. This highlights the concept of divine decree and the belief that some individuals are predestined for certain outcomes based on God's will.

Modern Application

This principle can be reflected in how individuals perceive challenges and temptations in their lives. Understanding that some events are beyond human control can encourage patience and resilience in facing life's difficulties, fostering a sense of trust in divine wisdom.

Topics

This hadith is tagged with Day of Judgment and Divine Decree because it addresses the fate of individuals in the afterlife and emphasizes the belief in God's predetermined plans.
