General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)
Sahih

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رضى الله عنه وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ كَانَا يَفْعَلاَنِ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏
‘Umar b. al-khattab and ‘Uthman b. ‘Affan used to do that.
Narrated by Sa’id b. al-musayyab said :

And the two who commit it among you, dishonor them both. But if they repent and correct themselves, leave them alone. Indeed, Allah is ever Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
