أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ هُنَانٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قُلْتُ إِنَّ لِي جُرَيْرَةً أَنْتَبِذُ فِيهَا حَتَّى إِذَا غَلَى وَسَكَنَ شَرِبْتُهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ مُذْ كَمْ هَذَا شَرَابُكَ قُلْتُ مُذْ عِشْرُونَ سَنَةً أَوْ قَالَ مُذْ أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً ‏.‏ قَالَ طَالَمَا تَرَوَّتْ عُرُوقُكَ مِنَ الْخَبَثِ ‏.‏ وَمِمَّا اعْتَلُّوا بِهِ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ‏.‏

"I asked Ibn 'Abbas: 'I have a small jar in which I make Nabidh and when it has bubbled and settled down again, I drink it.' He said: 'For how long you have been drinking that?' He said: 'For twenty years'" - or he said: 'for forty years.' He said: 'For a long time you have been quenching your thirst with something forbidden.'"
