Sunan Ibn Majah #2228

The Chapters on Pre-emption
Da'if

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، وَالْعَلاَءُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَأَرَادَ بَيْعَهَا فَلْيَعْرِضْهَا عَلَى جَارِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
“Whoever has land and wants to sell it, let him offer it to his neighbor.”
Narrated by It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Context

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) advises that if someone wishes to sell their land, they should first offer it to their neighbor. This promotes good relations among neighbors and encourages community support in property transactions.
