doubled yudā‘af a variant reading has yuda‘‘af will be the chastisement for him on the Day of Resurrection and he will abide therein both verbs may be read in the imperfect apocopated form yudā‘af ‘it will be doubled’ and yakhlud ‘he will abide’ as substitutions or with the indicative damma inflection yudā‘afu and yakhludu to indicate the beginning of a new sentence abased muhānan is a circumstantial qualifier;

Let him be humbled thrice, and the rest of the hadith is the same.

Sahih Muslim #2783Sa`id b. Jubair reported on the authority of Ibn `Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) that the camel of a person broke his neck as he was in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded them (Companions) to wash him with water mixed (with the leaves of) the lote (tree) and to keep his face exposed; (he, the narrator) said:Sahih

That the Prophet (ﷺ) made a man read the verse: "For, that day His chastisement will be such as none (else) can be chastised. And his bonds will be such as none (other) can be bound. Abu Dawud said: According to some (scholars), there is a narrator between the narrator Khalid and Abu Qilabah.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi #3629Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:Da'if

“May the man before whom I am mentioned - and he does not send Salat upon me - be humiliated. And may a man upon whom Ramadan enters and then passes, before he is forgiven, be humiliated. And may a man whose parents reached old age in his presence, and they were not a cause for his entrance to Paradise, be humiliated.”
