لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Laa yazooqoona feehal mawtaa illal mawtatal oolaa wa qaqaahum 'azaabal jaheem
They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

They will not taste death therein other than the first death namely the one that came in this world after they had lived in it some scholars think that illā ‘other than’ here means ba‘da ‘after’. And He will shield them from the chastisement of Hell-fire —

“As for the people of Hell, who are its people (i.e., its
permanent
residents), they will neither die nor live therein. But
there are
some people who will be punished with fire because of their
sins,
whom it will kill, then when they have become like coal,
permission
will be granted for intercession for them. They will be
brought,
group by group, and scattered on the banks of the rivers of
Paradise.
It will be said: ‘O people of Paradise, pour water on them.’
Then
they will grow like seeds carried by a flood (i.e., quickly).” A
man among the people said: It is as if the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
has been in the desert.”
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, " It will be said to the people of Paradise, 'O people of Paradise! Eternity (for you)
and no death,' and to the people of the Fire, 'O people of the Fire, eternity (for you) and no death!"
The Prophet; said, "The people of Paradise will enter Paradise, and the people of the (Hell) Fire will
enter the (Hell) Fire: then a call-maker will get up (and make an announcement) among them, 'O the
people of the (Hell) Fire! No death anymore ! And O people of Paradise! No death (anymore) but
Eternity."
"No Muslim, three of whose children die, will be touched by the Fire, except in fulfillment of the (Divine) oath."
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise and the people of the Fire
have entered the Fire, death will be brought and will be placed between the Fire and Paradise, and
then it will be slaughtered, and a call will be made (that), 'O people of Paradise, no more death ! O
people of the Fire, no more death ! ' So the people of Paradise will have happiness added to their
previous happiness, and the people of the Fire will have sorrow added to their previous sorrow."
