The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The trumpet (sur) which will be blown.
“The two who are entrusted with the Trumpet have two horns in
their
hands, waiting until they will be commanded (to blow them).”
"A Bedouin came to the Prophet (S.a.w) and said:
'What is the Sur?' He said: 'A horn that will be blown into'" This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. It has been reported by more than one narrator from Sulaimãn At-Taimi, and we do not know of it except as his narration.
"A Bedouin said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What is As-Sur?' He said: 'A horn which is blown into.'"
The people mentioned the fire and the bell (as means proposed for announcing the time of prayer) and
by such a suggestion they referred to the Jews and the Christians. But Bilal was ordered, "Pronounce
the words of the Adhan (i.e. call for the prayer) twice and the Iqama once only."
