Tafsir Al-Jalalayn: Ash-Shu'araa, Ayah 9

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Al-Jalalayn Commentary

And surely your Lord He is the Mighty One Who will exact vengeance from the disbelievers the Merciful Who shows mercy to believers.

Scholars offer complementary perspectives

(And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty) in retribution against the disbelievers, (the Merciful) towards the believers.

My Lord, and Abu Mu'awiya made an addition:" For it is Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, Who is your Lord."
